Dr. William Thompson is a premier physical therapy expert, educator, and researcher specializing in clinical standards of care, patient safety, and musculoskeletal health. With nearly two decades of clinical experience, his expertise spans acute care, outpatient, sub-acute, and long-term care environments. He is highly sought after for his specialized knowledge in orthopedic trauma, joint replacements, neurological conditions, balance/fall risks, and complex transfer safety precautions.

Academic & Research Leadership: Dr. Thompson serves as the Co-Director of the Musculoskeletal Health PhD Program and Associate Professor of Physical Therapy at Indiana University. He also directs the Molecular Biomechanics Research Lab and the Mechanobiology Core Facility.
